One Sanctuary is all about mindfulness and how we can improve our health and wellbeing by living more mindfully.
So what is mindfulness?
It is a way of being that involves the ability to be fully present moment by moment, to be aware of our thoughts, feelings, sensations and the environment around us. It is about accepting everything as it is, with non-judgement and not trying to change anything.
We all have the ability to become the best version of ourselves, to recognise how our own behaviour shapes our happiness. Unfortunately most people go through their lives day to day not really paying attention to anything but their next task or future tasks. Always looking ahead to the next event. Wishing their lives away to the next weekend or day off.
We are running through our days in a dream like state. It's time to wake up.
This is why I have set up One Sanctuary, to help others see that there is a better way to live. By living in the present you can create the space you need to slow down, de-stress and appreciate what you have right now. Because right now is all you have.
I have been practicing mindfulness for nearly 4 year now and I have been so amazed at the change in myself that I felt compelled to share my journey and teach others how they too can improve their health and wellbeing by simply becoming more aware.

I have also created a lovely Facebook Group called One Sanctuary, One Community with Fiona Stretton-Emerson which I would love for you to join. I will share tips and advise on mindfulness, meditation and crystals and daily quotes to help give you a little boost when you need it most. There will be opportunities to chat with other members of the group who are also on their own mindfulness journeys and other fun activities to help keep us all on track. Mindfulness is not always easy and this group will be here for you to offer support and guidance where needed.
