Chakra - Heart & Third Eye

Unakite is said to be one of Nature’s most healing crystals of the heart and mind. With it's caring passion of pink and nurturing energy of green, it resonates with the frequency of love, compassion and kindness.

With all it's components common minerals found in the Earth's crust, feldspar, epidote and quartz, it is a great stone to work with when you want to connect to nature.

Unakite is also known as the Stone of Vision and you can work with it to open your Third Eye Chakra. If you feel like you are trapped and don't know what to do or feel you are being forced to sacrifice one part of your life for the sake of another, then meditating with Unakite can help with important decision making. It helps remind us that we are here, now, and to let go of past memories that no longer serve us.

Think of your Unakite like a caring friend who is willing to listen to all your problems.

History

Unakite was first discovered in the United States in the Unaka Mountain Range on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina where it derives its name and can be dated back to 1874. It is also found in pebbles and boulders in glacial drifts around the Great Lakes, as well as in Zimbabwe, China, Brazil and Switzerland.

Being a more recent discovery it doesn't have a rich history but it has been used in architecture and has been widely used in decoration and jewellery since it was first discovered due to it's beautiful pink and green colours.

It is widely used on both the heart and third eye Chakras.
